Baltimore man arrested after police say he tried to steal package off a porch in Seaford
A Baltimore man was arrested in Seaford after police say he tried to steal a package from the front porch of a home.
According to the Seaford Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. Sunday, as officers were dispatched to a home on West Ivy Drive following a call from a concerned citizen who claimed they鈥檇 witnessed a man stealing a package from a nearby home.
With the assistance of the concerned citizen, and due to the quick response by officers, the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Sentell Burks, was located a short distance from the scene and taken into custody within minutes.
Police were able to recover the package.
Sentell was charged with Theft Under $1,500. He was arraigned and released on $1,000 unsecured bail.
