Atlantic Hurricane Season Begins Friday

Friday is the beginning of hurricane season – according to the calendar.  However we’ve already seen Alberto form in the Gulf of Mexico and move up through the center of the country.  The forecast for this year is for a near or above normal season with 10 to 16 named storms with, 5 to 9 becoming hurricanes including 1 to 4 major hurricanes.  You should take action now to prepare for a storm that might affect Delmarva – and that includes putting together a storm kit.  You’ll find more information in the WGMD Storm Prep Guide
