Apartment Fire in Denton, MD; Multiple Residents Displaced

Multiple individuals who were living in 11 separate units at a three-story apartment building in Denton have been displaced after a fire occurred yesterday. The blaze started in the interior second floor stairwell, but the cause is still under investigation. Damage is estimated at $175,000. The smoke alarm status was present with activation according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal. The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.
