Apartment Building Fire in Easton Leaves Family Displaced

A fire leaves an apartment building in Easton with heavy damage. The fire was reported at about 5:45 Wednesday evening on Southwest Street. It took crews two hours of battling the blaze before the fire in the two-story apartment building was brought under control. Maryland State Fire Marshalls believe the fire started in the kitchen of the downstairs apartment. Damages are estimated at $50,000. Both families living in the building have been displaced.
