Amtrak’s Silver Star Collides with CSX Freight Train in South Carolina

Just after 2:30 this morning Amtrak train 91 – the Silver Star collided with a CSX freight train in near Cayce, South Carolina. This train originated in New York yesterday and was bound to Miami, but also made stops yesterday in Trenton, Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore. There are confirmed reports of two dead and about 70 injured.
