A Snow Hill Man is Dead after Truck Ends Up in Pocomoke River

A Snow Hill man is dead after his vehicle was found in the Pocomoke River. Maryland State Police are still investigating, but say just after 11 Friday morning a crash was reported on Route 12 and the Pocomoke River Bridge in Snow Hill. A witness told police that the truck was underwater in the middle of the river. The Salisbury City Fire Department Dive Team located the GMC Denali truck and recovered the victim, 73 year old Robert Jarrell, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say for reasons unknown Jarrell’s truck entered a parking lot and continued into the river. He was the only person in the truck.
