72-Year-Old Man Robbed in Salisbury Park, Suspect At-Large
Maryland State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place on Wednesday afternoon in the area of Jersey Road in Salisbury.
Troopers say the incident took place shortly after 3:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Jersey Road at Billy Gene Jackson Park. They say Troopers met a victim, identified as 72-year-old James C. Jones of Salisbury, who was approached by a suspect while he was playing golf. The suspect, identified as an African-American male around 6 feet 1 inches tall and 25-30 years old brandished a silver revolver and demanded Jones’ cell phone and wallet.
The suspect then fled in a black passenger vehicle. Maryland State Police continue to investigate this incident. They ask anyone with information about the incident, the suspect or his whereabouts to contact the MSP Salisbury Barrack at (410) 749-3101.
