A Harrington man has been arrested for a robbery on August 8th in Magnolia. The robbery occurred around 3pm on Riley Drive when a 22 year old victim discovered an acquaintance, identified as 35 year old Antonio Vilone, approach her as she sat in her car. Vilone spit on her and demanded her car keys threatening her with a hammer. She turned over the keys and Vilone drove off.
Members of the Kent County Governor’s Task Force attempted to locate Vilone earlier this week – he is wanted on multiple felony warrants – and spotted him driving a Silverado in Houston and attempted a traffic stop. Vilone disregarded police and sped off.
Detectives located Vilone the next day in Ellendale – he ran off on foot, but was arrested after being tased. Vilone was transported to Troop 3 -where he was charged with the following crimes:
- Robbery 1st Degree (Felony)
- Aggravated Menacing (Felony)
- Theft Greater than $1500 (Felony)
- Offensive Touching
- Terroristic Threatening
Vilone was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 for the above charges and all active warrants and capias. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $35,000 cash bond.
