2022 was a deadly year on Delaware roads, and this year is not off to a good start either. Delaware State Representative Ruth Briggs-King tells WGMD’s Mike Bradley about the rash of recent fatal accidents in Sussex County…
She says that with the trend of increasing traffic and the problem of speeding and distracted driving, motorists need to be more alert these days. She also adds that enforcement is being increased. If you travel on Route 1 or 113 northbound, you’ll see more police presence. Also, with the road projects going on, it takes longer to get from point A to Point B, and so she urges drivers to slow down and allow more time.
