2 Delawareans Arrested By OC Police On Drug Charges

Two suspects have been arrested following a drug investigation in Ocean City that started in February.

Ocean City Police said Thursday that 32-year-old Melody Hines of Selbyville was stopped for a traffic violation Wednesday on Coastal Highway. The department’s new K-9 reacted positively to narcotics in the vehicle, and officers seized more than 200 bags of fentanyl, $600 in cash and the vehicle as part of the investigation. Police said Hines was suspected of selling heroin and / or fentanyl out of various Ocean City hotels.

Hines was being held for various drug offenses.

Also charged was 53-year-old Eddy Deutromony Roundtree of Lincoln, with several drug-related crimes.

Ocean City Police released these charges:

  • Melody Hines: 32 years of age, Selbyville, DE, possession with intent to distribute schedule I
    narcotic, CDS: possession- not marijuana, and distribute mixture with heroin and fentanyl.
    Hines was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner and held without bond.
  • Eddy Deutromony Roundtree: 53 years of age, Lincoln, DE, possession with intent to
    distribute schedule I narcotic, CDS: possession- not marijuana, and distribute mixture with
    heroin and fentanyl. Roundtree was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner and held
    without bond.
