1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Salisbury Shooting
A 42-year-old Salisbury man has died following a double-shooting that also left a woman injured.
According to Maryland State Police, Salisbury Police responded to a requested welfare check at a residence on Martin Street Tuesday afternoon. Two shooting victims were found inside. 42-year-old Emmanuel Jones was pronounced dead at a local hospital. A 50-year-old woman was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit is investigating along with Salisbury detectives. State Police say an investigation indicates that the victims were targeted and that this was not a random shooting.
The type of firearm used is not yet known.
