Woman Struck by Vehicle in Northbeach Parking Lot

Dewey Beach police made a quick arrest after a woman was struck in the parking lot of Northbeach early Wednesday morning.

Both Dewey and state police were already on hand for the “dollar drink” special, when the female victim became pinned between two vehicles backing into each other around 1:40 a.m.

According to one report, the 24-year-old woman was struck from behind, pushed forward and her head hit one of the vehicles.

She was not seriously injured but complained of knee pain when taken to Beebe Hospital.

Police have not yet released info on charges. A suspect and her vehicle were stopped at Dagsworthy Avenue at Coastal Highway by Dewey Beach police.
