A Dover police officer was injured after responding to a domestic dispute over the weekend.

Police say 32-year-old Elaina Smith and a 35-year-old man were argument when Smith broke the passenger side window of a car and punched the victim.  The officer went to arrest Smith and she punched the officer in the face, possibly breaking his nose.  The whole incident happened in front of her children.

Smith has been charged with 2nd degree assault, resisting arrest, endangering welfare of a child, offensive touching, criminal mischief under $1,000, and disorderly conduct.
