Ocean City Police say a drunk driver hit a pedestrian and tried to leave the scene.

Two Salisbury Men Arrested for Hitting Ocean City Pedestrian with Car

Ocean City Police say a drunk driver hit a pedestrian and tried to leave the scene.

Police say they saw 32-year-old Lester Simpson trying to move the car away from the scene.  Officers also learned 31-year-old Branden Whitley was the one behind the wheel and tried to flee.

The pedestrian was treated and released from Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

Whitley has been charged with driving under the influence, failure to remain at the scene of a collision, failure to exercise due care to avoid a pedestrian and other accident related crimes.  Simpson was charged with several driving under the influence related charges.
