Two Arrested for Marijuana in Separate Harrington Traffic Stops

Harrington Police have arrested two men on separate occasions for possessing marijuana during each of their traffic stops.

Last week, police arrested 26-year-old Eddie Aguirre of Carteret, New Jersey, after police stopped him for speeding.  Officers noticed an odor coming from the car the smelled like marijuana and searched the car.  From the search, police found 3.7 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Police also learned that his New Jersey license was also suspended.

Meanwhile, over the weekend, Harrington Police arrested 20-year-old Andrew Cook of Camden-Wyoming after he was stopped for failing to stop for a stop sign.  Officers stopped the vehicle and saw Cook’s bag of marijuana in plain view.  Police say Cook had 2.1 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Aguirre was issued a summons for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving without a valid license and speeding.

Cook was issued a summons for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and a traffic summons.
