State Senator Brian Pettyjohn will be hosting a live reading of the Declaration of Independence this Friday in the circle in Georgetown.

Other politicians will be participating in the event with Sen. Pettyjohn: State Sens. Gary Simpson and Ernie Lopez; State Reps. Dave Wilson, Steve Smyk and Ruth Briggs King; Georgetown Mayor Bill West; Georgetown Town Councilwoman Chris Lecates; Georgetown Town Councilman Dave Anderson; and Sussex County Councilman Vance Phillips.

The event will be starting at noon July 4th.
