Woman Goes into Labor in Car Headed to Hospital

A woman went into labor while in her car headed to the hospital Tuesday evening and that is when EMS personnel came to the rescue.

The 28-year-old woman was on Lewes-Georgetown Highway near Park Avenue when she started giving birth around 8:15 p.m.

By the time EMS personnel arrived, so did a baby boy!

A Milton ambulance with Sussex County EMS personnel took her to Beebe Hospital. On last report, the mother and son were doing fine.
