Radio Host Art Bell Dies at 72

Radio host Art Bell has died.  Bell was the originator of Coast to Coast AM – which is carried here on WGMD.  However, Bell has been semi-retired since 2003, when George Noory became the regular host.  Former Coast to Coast weekend host, Ian Punnett broke the news on his twitter account and The Nye County Sheriff’s department in Nevada made a community announcement of Bell’s passing on its Facebook page.  The cause of death is not yet known – an autopsy will be performed, but it seems fitting that Art Bell would die on Friday the 13^th.   Bell died at his home in Pahrump, Nevada – he was 72.
