Progress Slows to Near Halt for Kent County Regional Sports Complex

So what is the future of the Kent County Regional Sports Complex?

After a community meeting, not much.  Currently, there is a hold up from DelDOT about a new DE 1 interchange south of Frederica, which park planners say is necessary for the project.

DelDOT has planned in install a $25 million overpass in the area of the proposed park, but has made it a low-priority project.  Money set aside for the project has been diverted to the state’s casinos.

More community meetings are planned on the matter.
