Parkside High School Rape Case to be Tried in Wicomico County

The trial of an 18-year-old student at Parkside High School who raped a 15-year-old classmate at the school will be tried in Wicomico County, unless an impartial jury cannot be obtained.

Jocori Scarborough’s attorney says the media coverage of the incident has been disproportionate to a normal sexual assault case.

Scarborough is facing 1st degree rape, 2nd degree rape, 1st degree assault, reckless endangerment, 2nd degree assault, false imprisonment, and school molest other charges for the May incident.  Scarborough is also facing a possession of a firearm by a minor charge after police found a gun in his home.  Scarborough was 17 when he committed both crimes.
