A typhoon struck the Philippines Friday leaving behind devastation, damage and death.  Emergency officials are still trying to get to areas hardest hit by the storm, but its believed the death toll is in the thousands.

The US has sent 2 C-130 cargo planes with relief aide, but more is needed. The best help you can give right now is money so that what is needed at the scene can be bought and shipped to the scene.  Here is a list of charities accepting donations to help the Phillipiines recover from Typhoon Haiyan.
