Richard Blanchard the owner of the Boardwalk 5 and 10 in Rehoboth Beach is closing because of increasing rent and decreasing profits. Blanchard says the store currently pays just under 60 thousand dollars a year in rent and that estimates for his rent next year will have reached 80 thousand dollars. He says this is the worst year he has had for profits. The store has been a family business since it opened in 1971.
