One effect the current economic situation is having on us---is it’s helping us spend less on gas. The Delaware gas average continues to drop –down a penny overnight to $3.43 – 20 cents below today’s national average. The average in South Jersey for a gallon of regular has fallen to $3.30, and in Maryland it's down to $3.56. Oil prices are under $96 a barrel in Asia today --continuing the price drop seen yesterday
