Maryland State Police say they were busy over the Independence Day weekend.

Maryland State Police say they were busy over the Independence Day weekend.

Troopers made about 3,300 traffic stops during the 4th, and issued 4,500 citations and warnings. State Police also issued 350 defective equipment orders and arrested 56 impaired drivers.

Maryland drivers are reminded to get the latest highway condition updates by dialing 5-1-1 or visiting MD511.org.
