Maryland U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski is urging the Obama Administration to fight deceptive labeling of imported crab meat.

In a bipartisan letter to the President, Mikulski says Maryland’s seafood industry is critical to the Eastern Shore and way of life. She adds that consumers deserve to know that Chesapeake Bay products are really from the Bay, and not a foreign import.

The letter is co-signed by Tim Kaine (D-Va.), Mark R. Warner (D-Va.), and Rep. Rob Wittman (R-Va.).
