2014 Sussex County Dog Licenses Now Available

Dec 17, 2013 -- 12:07pm

Sussex County dog licenses for next year are now available.

Dog owners will have until March 1 to get licenses for their dogs that are at least six months old. The cost is $10 per year for spayed and neutered dogs, and $15 for non-spayed and neutered dogs. Licenses are available in one, two or three-year increments. They must have up-to-date rabies shots when the license is granted. Fees will be waived for guide dogs and dogs that have previously served in the military.

The fees are required by state law, and are used to support animal control services in Sussex County.
