A crash involving a motorcycle has left one person dead. State Police say a pickup truck pulling a utility van was turning left from Church Road onto westbound Pulaski Highway near Bear just after 9 this morning. Police say a motorcycle driven by 43 year old Joseph Curry of New Castle was speeding eastbound on Pulaski Highway and didn’t stop for the red light and collided with the side of the utility trailer. Curry and the motorcycle were pinned under the trailer. Once freed, he was taken to Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead. It’s believed that he was wearing a helmet. The driver of the pickup was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.
