Virginia Beach Dive Boat Operator Suspended after 2012 Diving Death

The operator of the “Miss Lindsey,” a dive boat based out of the Virginia Beach area has been suspended after a recreational diving death that occurred on June 9, 2012.  A Coast Guard investigation resulted in administrative action being taken against Rebecca Bryson, the master of the vessel – 3 acts of misconduct and one act of negligence, which were upheld by Administrative Law Judge Michael Devine last month.  Bryson’s 18 month suspension is 12 months suspension and 6 months of remitted probation.
