State Police Looking For Man Who Robbed Driver in Milton

Nov 04, 2013 -- 11:24am

Delaware State Police are looking for the man who robbed a Rehoboth Beach man in Milton over the weekend.

Troopers say late Sunday night, a man stopped his car on the side of Gravel Hill Road near Sandy Hill Road to check on a mechanical issue. While he was underneath the car, a dark SUV pulled up in front of it. A man got out, cocked a handgun, and told the driver of the car to empty his pockets. The victim handed over some money, and the robber got back into his SUV and drove north on Gravel Hill Road.

The robber was wearing blue jeans and work boots, and was armed with a handgun. Anyone with additional information is asked to call State Police Troop 7 at (302) 644-5020, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be sent in using the State Police Mobile Crime Tip App on a smartphone.
