The Delaware Department of Corrections is looking for an inmate who escaped from the Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington.

The DOC is looking for 30-year-old Douglas Smith of Wilmington. On Friday, guards at Plummer found through a headcount that he was no longer inside the building.

Smith is white, 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds with brown eyes and hair. He has a full beard and scars on both arms. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and red shoes. Smith was being held at Plummer since September for violating his probation on original charges of theft, second-degree forgery and not complying with conditions of bond. Anyone who knows where he might be is asked to call their local police department, or the DOC at (800) 542-9524.
