As part of Coast Day Sunday, DNREC will be showcasing the resources of Delaware’s coast.
More than 60 educators and DNREC scientists will be displaying nearly three dozen exhibits on Delaware’s coastal resources. Visitors will be able to view maps showing the impacts of different scenarios of sea level rise, FEMA floodplain maps, see a video highlighting the marshes along the Delaware Bay, learn about habitats in estuaries, and even enter an art contest to show why people are thankful for the Delaware Bay.
Coast Day will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the University of Delaware’s Hugh R. Sharp Campus on Pilottown Road in Lewes. The DNREC tent will be between the Smith and Cannon Buildings on campus.
