Throughout September Maryland State Police have been collecting food for the Food Bank of Maryland – and today they will have the official weigh-in. State Police in Maryland and the State Highway Administration and other law enforcement agencies will help bring all the food collected during Hunger Action Month 2013 to the regional Maryland Food Banks. The law enforcement agencies will caravan the food donations from each of the regions in Maryland to one of the 4 regional food banks and then all the food and other items will be weighed in around 1:30 this afternoon. 22 Maryland State Barracks and 37 State Highway Administration installation sites took part in the food drive.
