The Salisbury City Council has passed an ordinance to encourage business development in downtown Salisbury.
The City Council passed an ordinance during its meeting Monday night allowing for the elimination or reduction of water and sewer charges for Equivalent Dwelling Units to make it more appealing for businesses looking for a place to open up shop. The ordinance creates what’s known as an EDU Incentive Zone.
Salisbury Mayor Jim Ireton says he’s working with the City Council and the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce to help make Salisbury become the best place in Maryland to do business.
