Delaware Part of Consortium That Received Funding From U.S. Department of Education To Improve Assessment For Kindergarten Students

Delaware is part of a consortium of nine states and Washington, D.C. that have received funding from the U.S. Department of Education to improve an early education assessment system.

The consortium was led by North Carolina, and the states plus D.C. received over $6.1 million to enhance an assessment system for students in kindergarten through third grade. The members of the consortium will use the money to improve the kindergarten part of the assessment. Delaware will be working with the other states to develop and enhance supports for the assessments in the early grades.
