Milford Man Arrested For Wielding Baseball Bat During Argument in Park

Aug 25, 2013 -- 8:24am

A Milford man has been arrested for trying to hit another man with a baseball bat.

On August 16, Milford Police were called to Bicentennial Park on Northeast Front Street for a report of a man who was armed with a bat and was being disorderly. At first, he gave a false name to officers, but he was then identified as 30-year-old Antoine Sturgis. Offices say Sturgis had tried to use the bat to hit the man he was arguing with.

Sturgis has been charged with aggravated menacing, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. He was also wanted on an arrest warrant out of State Police Troop 4. He's being held at SCI on $5,600 bond.
