Gas prices continue to fall slightly, and are quite a bit cheaper than they were at this time last year.
AAA Mid-Atlantic is reporting that the national average for regular unleaded remained unchanged over the past week at $3.54 a gallon. A year ago, it was 20 cents higher. In Delaware, regular fell by a penny down to $3.51 a gallon. In southern New Jersey, regular dropped by two cents, down to $3.41. On the Eastern Shore of Maryland, regular is unchanged at $3.40 a gallon.
Crude oil fell by more than a dollar last week, down to $106.42 a barrel at the close of trading on Friday. However, crude oil prices have been bouyed by positive economic news in the U.S., and unrest in the Middle East and North Africa.
