Delaware State University has given students in its Aviation Program new training options.
The university signed a new agreement with Horizon Helicopters of Newark at the company’s facility on Monday. The agreement establishes a flight training partnership between the university and the company to provide helicopter training as a new option in the Professional Pilot concentration in its Aviation Program. Aviation students will be able to choose between getting their flight training on fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, or both. The helicopter flight training will be conducted at Horizon’s facility in Newark.
Military veterans will be able to use their Department of Defense benefits to enroll in the program.
