Jul 29, 2013 -- 5:26pm

Delaware State Police are looking for the man and the woman who carjacked a man in Wilmington.

State Police say just before 2:20 Sunday morning, a 33-year-old Wilmington resident was filling up his vehicle at the Sunoco on Maryland Avenue when he was approached by a man and a woman who asked him for a ride. The man agreed to give them a ride, but then troopers say he was hit repeatedly in the head with an object by the man who was sitting in the back seat. The man got out, and the suspect got into the driver’s seat and fled. The victim was treated at Christiana Hospital for cuts on his head. His 1999 Toyota Solara was later found in Philadelphia.

The male carjacker is described as black, in his early 20s, about 5-foot-11 with an average build. The woman is also black, and is described as being in her late teens or early 20s, about 5-foot-6 with a large build. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police Troop 2 at (302) 834-2630, extension 6.
