Two Delaware lawmakers will host a hearing in Wilmington Tuesday to discuss problems uncovered this past spring at a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic. Senate Minority Whip Greg Lavelle and Representative Gerald Brady say the hearing is needed in order to continue to educate the public about what happened. The legislators say a former manager at the clinic will discuss how she believes Planned Parenthood's CEO misled the public in a June editorial and a former clinic nurse will discuss a report released by the state and explain the need for further action. In May, state officials filed a complaint against a doctor who worked at the clinic, saying he was a danger to the public, and public health officials released an April letter to Planned Parenthood detailing several violations at the clinic. Tuesday’s hearing will take place at the Chase Center on the Riverfront.
