AG Pushes Congress to Amend Federal Law to Fight Prostitution

Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden has joined a bipartisan coalition of 49 Attorneys General which is urging Congress to amend federal law to help fight prostitution and child sex trafficking.  They ask that the Communications Decency Act be amended to provide state jurisdiction over online sites that promote prostitution and child sex trafficking.  The act is meant to protect children from accessing indecent material online.  Prostitution is a state crime and Biden criminal jurisdiction over these sites needs to be extended to the states to combat these crimes – currently jurisdiction is limited to federal authorities.
