CG Medevacs Woman from Sailboat in Annapolis

The Coast Guard medevaced a 55-year-old woman Saturday from a sailboat one mile south of Thomas Point Light near Annapolis. 

A person aboard the sailboat Tom Tom contacted Coast Guard Sector Baltimore watchstanders around noon, reporting a passenger aboard the sailboat was experiencing heat exhaustion.

A boatcrew aboard a 29-foot Response Boat from Coast Guard Station Annapolis arrived on scene and transferred the woman aboard; she was then taken to Anchor Yacht Basin in Selby-on-the-Bay and was transferred to awaiting emergency medical personnel and taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis.
