A 69-year-old Georgetown woman is dead following a family outing on the James River in Virginia Monday.
Police say Hope Stoeckel was tubing with her husband and two grandchildren on the James River when her tube flipped over and she was unable to right herself and slipped out of the tube.
Paramedics were able to recover Stoeckel’s body but they were NOT able to resuscitate her.
Stoeckel's body was taken to the medical examiner's office in Roanoke. Authorities say they do NOT suspect foul play.
