A delegate from Montgomery County will be joined by a pair of city councilors at a shelter in West Ocean City during the Maryland Municipal League Convention next week.

On Tuesday, Delegate Heather Mizeur will lead a public service project at Diakonia, a shelter and emergency food service organization on Old Bridge Road. Mizeur will be joined by Salisbury City Council Vice President Laura Mitchell and College Park City Councilman Patrick Wojahn. They’ll meet with Diakonia employees and get a tour of the facility, then stock the food pantry and prepare meals for needy families in the Lower Shore.

The tour will begin at 2:30 on Tuesday afternoon, and the service work will begin at 3.
