Fish & Wildlife Agents Issue 35 Citations During Past Week

DNREC Fish & Wildlife agents responded to 45 complaints and issued 35 citations throughout Delaware during the past week. 19 of those citations were the resulted of the increased presence of agents at the C&D Canal Conservation Area.

An investigation by agents on June 17 led to a summons being issued to Nolan Anderson of Lewes for attempting to sell white tail deer mounts to agents. Nicholas Vilkas of Delmar was charged with illegal dumping after a pile of trash was found in the Nanticoke Wildlife Area. Vilkas was linked to the trash through information that was found on documents in the pile. He was fined $106 and ordered to return to the wildlife area to clean up the trash.
