Jun 22, 2013 -- 5:59am

Salisbury Police are looking for the two men who assaulted and tried to rob another man early Friday morning.

Around 1 a.m., police were called to a home on Roger Street for a reported attempted robbery. A man told them that while he was standing outside his home, he was confronted by two men who demanded money from him. The victim says one of the men was armed with a long gun, and he was hit with that gun several times. A struggle followed, and the would-be robbers fled without getting any money or property. The victim was treated at PRMC.

The robbers are described as two black men. One is about 25 years old, 6-foot-2 and over 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, jeans and a black bandana on his face. The second suspect is described as 20 to 25 years old and smaller in stature. He was also wearing dark clothing, and had a bandana or ski mask on his face. Anyone with information is asked to call Salisbury Police or Crime Solvers.
