The countdown is on for the Firefly Music Festival that kicks off in Dover Friday.

70,000 people are expected in Dover Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the Firefly Music Festival. 71 bands will be playing on four stages and organizers are advising attendees plan, plan and plan some more in order to cut down on wait times and other things.

You can download the Firefly Music Festival app on your iPhone or Android device; the apps includes a map and festival guide and will even send you text alerts when your favorite band is set to play.

Meantime, you must have a government issued photo ID, a three-day festival wristband and a credit or debit card to get into the event. Outside items will NOT be allowed into the Festival area, you can’t have open beverage containers of any kind, no knives, no animals, except for service dogs, no umbrellas, no lawn chairs.
