UPDATE: Terrier-Improved Rocket Launched from Wallops

UPDATE: A rocket carrying students' experiments launched without incident from NASA's Wallops Island Flight Facility on Virginia's Eastern Shore this morning. The Terrier-Improved Prion sounding rocket blasted off at 5:30 a.m.

More than 100 university students and instructors were at Wallops for lift-off.

The rocket was carrying experiments from the students; it landed in the Atlantic Ocean and the payload was recovered. Students will now analyze the data that was collected.

5:09 A.M.:  The countdown is on for the launch of a Terrier-Improved Orion from Wallops.
