UPDATED: Crash on Route 18/404 Leaves Maryland Man Dead

State Police say a 78 year old man from Maryland is dead after a his Isuzu collided with a GMC Sierra on Route 18/404 west of Georgetown, just after 11 this morning.  Police say for an unknown reason the Isuzu crossed the center line colliding with the GMC driven by 65 year old Thomas Slaughter of Bridgeville.  The Maryland man was pronounced dead at the scene and Slaughter was taken to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.  Both drivers were properly restrained.  Route 18 was closed for about 3 hours – but the investigation is on-going.
