After three months of weekly meetings, the Delaware Worker’s Compensation Task Force will release its report on Monday.
The task force is chaired by Lieutenant Governor Matt Denn, and was charged with reviewing the recent increases in worker’s comp insurance rates, which have risen by an average of 34 percent over the last two years. The increases are proving to be a burden on businesses, and threaten economic growth in the state. The task force was created when House Joint Resolution 3 was signed into law on January 30. Its meetings were open to the public, and residents and business owners were able to submit their comments into the public record.
The report with the task force’s recommended solutions will be presented at the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce in Wilmington at 10:30 Monday morning.
