The Delaware River and Bay Authority will be among the agencies that will be taking part in the Delaware Office of Highway Safety’s “Click It or Ticket” seat belt enforcement campaign.
Acting DRBA Police Administrator Lieutenant Colonel Jeffery Cook says that seat belt use has declined steadily from the record high of 91 percent just three years ago down to 88 percent last year. As a result, too many people are still dying in crashes because they’re not wearing their seat belts.
This month, “Click It or Ticket” will celebrate its 12th anniversary. On May 20, DRBA police officers will also take part in the campaign kickoff of Border to Border “Click It or Ticket,” which involves police officers from Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.
